Dental Replacements

Crowns for single teeth

If a tooth is strongly damaged and can no longer be treated, it needs crowning. The classic crown encases the whole tooth, a partial crown covers a part of the tooth.Crowns are made of a metal framework and sealed with tooth coloured ceramic or made completely out of ceramic. Ceramic crowns are mainly used for aethetic purposes.

Bridges for the correction of dental gaps

To close a dental gap, two abutment teeth are needed, which are prepared to hold the retainers (crowns). The gap is closed by using an interlink, which is attached to the retainers. An alternative to the use of bridges are implants.

Removable prostheses / partial prostheses

Total or partial prostheses are artificial teeth, which serve as a replacement for lost ones. Total protheses are being used for edentulous jaws, partial protheses for partial dentition.

The prostheses are made of a gum coloured acrylic resin base, in which the artificial teeth, made out of plastic or cermanic, are bedded. The protheses are removable and are fixed tot he remaining teeth by braces and special telescopic attachment techniques. They can also be fitted with the use of an implant fixation.
