Michigan splints and NTI-splints
Compressing and crunching are often the reason for head and neck pains, pressure-sensitive masticatory muscles, split-offs on teeth and fillings and pain on the healthy teeth. The act of compressing happens mostly during the night and is therefore hard to control.
The NTI-splints (Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition) cover the front teeth and is being worn during the night. This way, the impact of a strong masticatory force is prevented.
The Michigan splints are also being worn during the night. They cover the whole chewing surface and are used as protection from tooth fractures due to crunching. The are also used for patients with a disease of the masticatory muscles and a disease of the jaw joint.
Mouthpieces used for sports
Protection offering mouthpieces are used in sports, where the front teeth are exposed to strong hits such as squash, ice hockey, kick boxing and rugby.
The custom-made mouthpieces are tightly fitted and comfortable.
Teeth decorations
Sanded rhinestones can be glued to the teeth with the use of a special glueing technique. There is no damage to the enamel and the rhinestones can be easily removed at any time.
