Endodontology
Root canal treatment is needed to treat pulpitis (inflammation of the dental pulp). The main focus is pain relief and to prevent tooth loss. The inflammed pulp (the nerve) and bacteria are removed. Then the canal is cleaned, rinsed and enlarged. After the root is filled and closed using a rubber-like material. After the use of medicinal cushions, the canal is being tightly shut.
